.... The legend of the Christmas Rose dates back to 15th century Germany. According to the fable, a young girl named Madelon wanted to visit the Christ child in the manger, but had no gift to bring.



From her tears sprang a plant with beautiful blooms - "The Christmas Rose," Steiff's tribute to this touching story is a Teddy bear made of rare ice green alpaca with snow-white felt for its paws and feet.



The bear wears delicate Christmas roses made of felt and plush, along with branches of fir tree also carefully crafted from felt.
